Some work doesn’t fit a CMS

That is what we use Laravel for. It is the framework we reach for when the job is an application rather than a set of pages, and it has been part of our stack alongside Craft since we started taking this work on.

Internal tools: The spreadsheet that became load-bearing, rebuilt as something your team can actually rely on.
Customer portals: Accounts, permissions, order history and documents, for the people who need more than a storefront gives them.
Integrations: The connection between your ERP, your store and whatever else has to agree with them.
APIs: A service your own front end, or someone else’s, can build against.
Automation: The manual step somebody does every morning, done by the software instead.

Why Laravel

It is mature, widely known and boring in the way infrastructure should be. You are not locked into a framework only we understand: any competent PHP team can pick up a Laravel codebase, which matters when the point is that you own what we build.

It also sits comfortably beside Craft. Where an app needs to talk to your Craft site, or a Craft site needs to hand work to an app, both are PHP and neither is fighting the other.

How the work runs

The same way everything else here does. We charge an hourly rate and carry no long-term contracts, so you keep control of the budget and the scope at every point. We start with the problem that is costing you the most, ship in short passes, and keep going while it is worth doing.

FAQs

Do I need to know I want Laravel?

No. Bring us the problem. If a CMS solves it we will say so, and if the answer is a different tool entirely we will say that too.

Can it work with our existing site?

Yes. Most of what we build this way talks to something that already exists — a Craft site, an ERP, a warehouse system, a payment provider.

Who owns the code?

You do. Change hosts, change developers, change your mind. Nothing about it is rented.
